Students from various Institutions

These institutions will implement the Critical Virtual Exchange (CVE) methodology to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, offer virtual exchange opportunities and facilitation trainings, and deliver upskilling workshops to 2,500 students and 50 educators. The engagement of 13 associated partners from across Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa will contribute to disseminate and strengthen the impact of the project.

Through this collective effort, CVEinAI aspires to shape a new generation of students and educators who are not only technologically proficient but also ethically conscious and globally connected.

At Maseno University, the project involves staff from the Schools of Art & Social Science, School of Education, and School of Computing & Informatics who will deliver 5 virtual exchange modules covering different skills in AI to their students. The aim of the virtual exchange modules is to enhance the technical understanding of students in the application of AI and the critical thinking skills needed to carry out ethically sound work with AI, both during their studies and in their future life as informed and responsible professionals and citizens.

Together, we aim to foster long-term development of a critical mass of educators in ethical use of AI in higher education, that will in turn empower, and create a synergy across learning disciplines at the university.
